How to play Arrow Sudoku

Start Arrow Sudoku by looking at the playing area and its controls. Solve the Sudoku and make the digits on each arrow path sum to the digit in its circle. Look at what changes after your first action. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

This collection contains 8 puzzles. Progress is saved in this browser. The same puzzle can appear again; the collection is not labelled with calibrated difficulty levels.

Read before acting

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Refer to the controls when needed.

Your goal

Solve the Sudoku and make the digits on each arrow path sum to the digit in its circle. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Check the rules when you are unsure.

Step by step

  1. Select an editable cell.
  2. Enter a value using the keypad or keyboard; Notes stores candidates.
  3. Read the region, cage, arrow or outside clues alongside the normal constraints.
  4. Check entries verifies the completed board; Undo reverses your last input.
  5. New puzzle selects another included puzzle.

Controls

Click or tap cells and the digit pad. Use Notes, Undo and Reveal selected. Large boards scroll inside the game. Read a button’s label before selecting it. A new-round button replaces the current round.

A useful example

A circle 7 may have an arrow containing 3 and 4 when the normal Sudoku rules also allow it. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Consider the next action carefully.

Watch out for this

A full board must obey every extra rule. Reveal supplies assistance; it is not an earned deduction. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
